This was an AWESOME post that was so worth the read! I have been so irritated lately trying to get this very same message out, but I can’t seem to get anyone to listen. The genuine connections are so powerful and yet so many people are missing this on social networking sites. It is not twitter or facebook’s job to make these connections for you because that’s where you come in to do your part. Twitter and all of these other networking sites are providing you the platform to make these connections & people really miss that! This very msg burns inside of me so much that at times I just want to shake people and scream in their ear until the lightbulb turns on & they finally get it! I would be absolutely tickled pink to have a handful of great friends that genuinely connect rather than thousands of people that can’t even remember your damn name! You can bet damn sure a connection hasn’t been made when you try to converse with your new twitter friend & they blatantly try to call your ass out by saying WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND DO I FLIPPIN KNOW YOU? Wow! your left feeling about an inch tall when you know damn good and well that you just talked to them a few days ago by exchanging introductions, likes, life goals etc… You get the point lol! Talk about feeling like a jackass & not to mention the realization that you were just another number that got tossed aside with the other thousands of people. Now, I don’t about you, but this really starts to hurt my feelings when done repeatedly by superficial people. You don’t have to buy a book, membership, or take peopleskills101 to learn this very basic concept. You’ve already been equipped with these skills because it’s in your heart:) When you look to your heart and make genuine connections that in itself is soooo very powerful & not to mention the best feeling in the world.
